QANTAS Magazine (2009)
"The Condamine Gorge viewed from an eyrie on the border ranges is a scene of great natural beauty. Try the local Killarney beef, or the spice-roasted chicken with moghrabieh and honey-roasted eggplant. Bev's beef and shiraz pies are so popular she also does takeaway. Wines include some good local Granite Belt offerings. Morning and afternoon tea - with real scones - also served; breakfast on weekends."
Brisbane News, Phil Brown (16 July, 2006)
"We could have been
in Scotland. The air was crisp, the fire crackling
and the view was that of the highlands if ever
I've seen one. We weren't there, of course, but
it didn't seem to matter at Spring Creek Mountain
Café and Cottages, high on a plateau in
the Scenic Rim." Read

"I can't think of a better way to spend a
hot summer day than driving down to the Scenic
Rim and stopping for lunch or a snack at the Spring
Creek Mountain Cafe. There's plenty of room outside
for the kids to romp on the grass, the view is
beyond compare and the food's pretty good, too."
The Age (July 9th, 2005)
"We loved our stay.
So much is right about the accommodation (although
"cottage" probably isn't the most accurate
description): the wood fire, the uninterrupted
views, the entertainment (DVD, video), the locally
made soaps in the bathroom. Were this a Weekend
Away review, it would get an 18 out of 20 rating."

"Is this the best view
in Queensland? Quite possibly. A chef with a particularly
notable CV means that although this might be a
casual cafe, what leaves the kitchen is of an
impressive standard."

"Homemade flavour, good
country value (and values), breathtaking scenery,
dazzling green grass - these are some of the descriptions
that come to mind about this modest cafe perched
high up on one side of a long, deep valley wilderness."
Courier-Mail Good Life Restaurant Guide 2006
"Fairy-floss clouds
drifting away from the peaks of the Border Ranges,
cool breezes coming up the valley, and a tranquil
scene of contented cows in dark green fields with
brown hawks swooping overhead."
Mietta's Review
"Fabulous views from
the cafe attached to the Spring Creek Cottages.
It serves the general public as well as the guests,
with delicious home baked good, snacks and some
more substantial cooked dishes. The food is in
the cafe mould but the flavours are well balanced."
